Jim and I knew that this would happen at some point. We discussed it before we even settled on a time for our weekly “She Said, He Said” Twitter chat many months ago. Jim travels frequently and it can’t be helped. It was inevitable that one week his air travel would prevent him from taking part in #shehechat. This is that week.
Sure, we could cancel the chat for this week. That’s an option; but it’s a bad one. Jim and I have made a commitment to #shehechat and to those who follow the chat and engage with us each week. I don’t think Jim will mind me speaking for him when I say that we both take our commitments seriously in all our business ventures. Therefore, there will be a #shehechat tonight. It just has a new twist.
Unless something changes, it looks like Jim will be boarding a plane as #shehechat takes off at 8 p.m. CST tonight. Until the plane doors shut, Jim will be stowing his bag while participating in probably about the first 15 minutes of the chat. I hope that can happen.
Before Jim left on his business trip, we sat down and came up with a plan to have a guest host for tonight’s chat. It had to be someone who participates and engages regularly in the chat and someone who seemed to have a good grasp on the kinds of topics we cover. (It also needed to be a He because I am the She and I’ll be missing the He after Jim’s flight takes off.)
We approached Dave Krawczuk (@davekrawczuk on Twitter). I don’t think Dave has missed one #shehechat since it started and he offers up some great content each week during the chat. Dave graciously accepted our offer to guest host tonight in Jim’s stead. Since there are three hosts tonight, each of us picked a topic and all the topics revolve around being mobile.
Before I get to the topics though, I wanted to give Dave a chance to share his background with you in his own words. I think you’ll agree that he’s qualified. Jim and I also want to thank Dave for helping us out tonight.

Tonight’s #shehechat topics (all about being mobile):
Jim’s pick: Best practices to keeping up your blog when you’re mobile
Shelby’s pick: Has the mobility of social media evolved to a point where there’s no anonymity and more privacy concerns?
Dave’s pick: The good, the bad and the ugly about QR codes and mobile devices in your marketing strategy
