Yes, the title of this blog post was intended to get your attention for two reasons. First, because my friend Chris Brogan has a couple of new products that you might be interested in if that title interested you. Next, because I spent the last hour tracking down links of great free blog topic resources I recalled seeing over the last few years. It’s also quite possible that if you follow all the links in this post to the far ends of the Internet, you actually could find a million ideas to make your blog a better place to visit.

For those who aren’t familiar with Chris Brogan, he not only has a New York Times best-selling book, but is also ranked #4 on the AdAge Power150 daily ranking of marketing blogs. It’s fair to say he knows a thing or two; not just about writing but also successfully blogging.

The rest of the free resources
I’m sure you have experienced writer’s block from time to time. If you have, then you have also probably experienced topic block as well. When you write all the time, coming up with meaningful and useful topics for your audience can sometimes be challenging. Here are a couple of tools and some links with ideas for blog post topics and titles that should help you break out when you’re stuck.
The tools: Awhile back a friend (and I wish I could remember who but I can’t) pointed me to Google Trends. If you are wondering what people are searching for and thus reading about, right now this is an awesome tool to start the creative juices flowing.
ProBlogger recently shared “The Must-have Blog Post Topic Generation Tool.” I’ll admit I’ve only read about this tool for now but the post is bookmarked for when I have time to give it a full trial.
The topic idea posts: Earlier this year, I shared “The sweet 16 blog headlines,” a blog post intended to help you generate ideas for blog posts titles and topics. I’m certainly not the first blogger to offer up a post like this so here are a couple more useful posts along the same lines.

The free resources are great because obviously they are free; but that also means self-guided and self-motivated. There’s nothing wrong with knowing you need a little kick in the butt to get things done, and who better to do the kicking than an experienced guy like Chris Brogan?
