My presentation as a member of the social media panel at the Wisconsin Publishers’ Production Club. I was asked to speak on Twitter. The slides just provided talking points but should give you a flavor of the conversation.
During the presentation I also addressed the following list of bullet points I scribbled throughout the morning.
- Discussed my Personal/Professional Blur.
- Getting my own social media house in order.
- Tie down your social media circle.
- Discussed Quad/Graphics press release this morning and being followed by @QuadGraphics
- An audience of ONE is all you need.
- Ignore your blog traffic stats and just write.

Out of curiosity, what did you say about Quad/Graphics, their press release, and @QUADGRAPHICS following you?

Interesting question Matt. Seems you or someone you know was in the audience for my presentation. Basically, I caught wind of the Merger press release fairly early in the “news cycle” and tweeted about it early on. Within minutes of tweeting a link to the release I was followed by Quad/Graphics and found that to be interesting. Told me someone at Quad was monitoring the social media world which I found refreshing. I wish more in our industry would embrace web communities and social media instead of running scared. If that does not answer your question please feel free to email or contact me in some other off-line manner.
Thanks! – JIm
