Excuses Can Just Suck It

June 16, 2010 By Jim Raffel

1. None of us really care about your excuses anyway.

2. You’ve got great goals you are striving to achieve.

3. Take all the time you spend making excuses and do the work to reach those goals.

*** end of post ***

Story of the short post above. I was using my offline post editor and it ate my second post this week (an excuse). I don’t have time right now to re-write my awesome amazing post (an excuse and embellishment). Seeing the irony here?

I almost didn’t post. That would have been me giving in to the excuses. Starting today I’m not doing that anymore. The essence of what I wanted to tell you is up there.

Who knows maybe you get more from a short post like this.

Love this! Nicely done. Excuses get us absolutely nowhere. They're a waste of time and energy.

Awesome. Everyone fails at something on a daily basis. Small or large. Some probably don't even realize it. Those who suck it up and get it done anyway are the ones who push forward and will succeed.

You posted regardless of your editing software causing problems. You found a way to make it into a smaller, micro post about the problem of excuses. Nicely done Sir.

Yes, couldn't agree more in fact as your second sentence reminded me most of the time excuses take us backwards because of the wasted time and energy. Move forward by recalibrating the situation and moving one.

The original post really was good (in my opinion) but for whatever reason was never meant to see the light of day. I love the simplicity of this post. Not really my style but may happen more often when my time is limited. We'll see.
