I’ve been blogging since the middle of 2005. Yet I didn’t have a logo for this site until just a couple months ago. A funny thing happened once I settled on a logo. People started to notice me and this site in different ways. For example, after my friends at DogWalkBlog sent me some stickers of their logo, I mentioned how much I liked the stickers on Twitter. They responded that StickerGiant deserved the credit and then StickerGiant reached out to me. They asked if I wanted some free stickers in exchange for helping them get the word out about their quality product. I’d already seen the quality of the DogWalkBlog stickers so it was an easy answer for me.
A word about StickerGiant
StickerGiant is celebrating 12 years in business and wants to spread the love by giving two of my lucky readers $200 in free custom stickers. If you haven’t heard of StickerGiant, they have high-quality stickers and make your artwork print ready for free. They also respond quickly with both communication and service. Take a look at the image of my MacBook above to see the stickers they did for me (there is also a DogWalkBlog sticker on my MacBook).
When I went through the logo design process with LogoMojo (affiliate link) I remembered one of their questions was how I planned to utilize the logo. I asked for a logo that would work equally well online (see the header of this page), print (see the picture above), and embroidered on shirts. If you don’t yet have a logo, head over to LogoMojo to see if they might be the right choice to build one for you. Either way, now is the time to enter the contest for FREE stickers!
To Enter: Just comment on this post and perhaps describe your sticker needs. Two random winners will win a $200 custom sticker printing job from StickerGiant.
Contest ends: September 20, 2011, at 5 p.m. CST. That gives you two weeks, but leave your comment now because we both know you won’t remember to come back later.
Also, this is one last reminder to please take a few minutes to check out StickerGiant. They have been kind enough to provide $400 in free stickers to readers of this blog.

Do I get extra points for posting first? π Actually… I was thinking about getting my “Google Card” turned into a sticker! It’s a card that has the Google search page with “miltownkid” in the search bar and “I’m feeling lucky” being clicked. I also want to get a logo for “miltownkid” designed instead of using… me. π
Jim Raffel says
Sounds like a neat card Casey, would love to see it sometime. Is there an image of it on the web somewhere?
Pete Prodoehl says
Great stickers! My sticker needs are such…. BarCampMilwaukee6 is in less than a month, and we could really use some sticker for the 150+ people we are expecting for the event. We had stickers last year, but this year no one took on the task, and we’ve got a whole bunch of first timers signed up, so it would be great to spread the BarCamp love to them…
Jim Raffel says
StickerGiany will pick the winner but who knows maybe they can work with BarCampMilwaukee6 on something….
John Fischer says
We could sponsor wordcamp Milwaukee, we have sponsored 100s of wordcamps, contact me offline

I’ve used Sticker Giant in the past and have always been super satisfied. I think my new business cards (https://plus.google.com/photos/113818532796051594737/albums/posts/5635845580167417842?hl=en) would translate really nicely to a sticker!
Jim Raffel says
hmm, your link doesn’t seem to be working. Would love to see the card!

Thanks for the post, Jim. In a digital-dominant world, it can be easy to forget the important, offline tools – especially the simple ones, like stickers. I could sure use a few. For my Mac. For my proposals. For my car. Bike. Running shirts and racing bibs. Trumpet case. My office. Your office. The offices of my clients and prospective clients. And to fulfill all the requests that I expect to get for one of my stickers.
Jim Raffel says
Okay Craig you just gave me a bunch of great ideas where my stickers should be that they aren’t yet!

We were just having this discussion after a show. How the t-shirts, while nice weren’t selling, and we need to focus on smaller/cheaper/affordable promo materials like buttons, magnets and stickers.
I will be che king out the pricing at StickerGiant as we haven’t found a real cost effective sticker printer as of yet.
Jim Raffel says
and who knows you could get your first $200 order for free if they pick you π That pricing would be effective.Β
The M.U.T.E.S. says
We hear StickerGiant is the bees knees! Winning free stickers would help spread the word about the nation’s-Milwaukee’s own-premiere silent film/Vaudeville/vintage inspired comedic theatre troupe, The Marvelous Unspeaking Troupe of Entertaining Scoundrels aka The M.U.T.E.S.
Jim Raffel says
What better way to promote M.U.T.E.S than with the written word in sticker format!
Rufus Dogg says
Hey, I know that guy!! Nice sticker on that MacBook π We’ve been getting stickers from StickerGiant for years for a lot of things. There are probably cheaper services out there, but I don’t really care. When you find a quality vendor — especially for products that hold your brand — you hang onto them, trust their quotes and pay whatever they want. StickerGiant is one of those companies.
Jim Raffel says
And you started this whole mess mister! Look at all these comments I need to respond to. π
Love that kind of endorsement of a vendor.
Ryan Schade says
Very Cool! Love it when promo items are promoted!
Jim Raffel says
Hadn’t thought of it that way Ryan, but you have a point. The seller of promotional products in promoting his products. Cool.

I love this idea!!! I would use the $200 in free stickers to help promote the start-up Shindig i’m involved with. We can use all the good PR we can get! Rock on Jim!
Jim Raffel says
I’m hearing lots of good things about Shindig!Β
Anne Munkwitz says
I love stickers! I want a JimRaffel.com sticker! And my boyfriend collects stickers, but never sticks them on anything, so… I need two stickers. π As for my stickers needs… I’m not sure what I’d do with $200 worth of stickers but if I won, I’d figure it out!
Jim Raffel says
Annie – if you want JimRaffel.com stickers you can get them for free by sending your mailing address to JimRaffel@StickerGiant.com They won’t use your address for anything but sending you some JimRaffel.com stickers π Thanks for the comment!
