Take a day off and do whatever you want.
I can think of no better way to remain motivated than enjoying the freedom that your work arrangement has afforded you.
If you aren’t self-employed, schedule a vacation or personal day as soon as possible. If you are self-employed, tomorrow would be a good day to take off or perhaps the day after tomorrow, if you feel you need a day to arrange for your day off to be uninterrupted.
Take a hike, ride your bike, sit in the park and read a book. Jump on the train and go shopping in a nearby city. Sit in the coffee shop and people watch. Do whatever you’ve been wanting to do and telling yourself you didn’t have time for – just do it.
The world will still be here in 24 hours – I promise.

I did that last Thursday… Since the we became parents it has been a bit more difficult to step away but I did it and I can confess that I had a more productive weekend thanks to the half day off I took. Might do the same today… ๐

Amen, Jim! It’s amazing how one’s motivation and creative passion can be ignited by taking a day to yourself.

Or half a day or a couple hours by the pool (I may have done that Thursday). It doesn’t take much just some time away from the constant barrage of information.

I took today off as suggested – I tried it and I loved it – in fact I loved it so much I just booked tomorrow off too.

Well, you will need to go back to work eventually…. ๐
