Making time

This one is going to be short and sweet.

Sometimes, you just have to make time for yourself and those that matter to you.

Tonight, after two long days on the road with Shelby Sapusek, I engineered our trip so that we could spend the night in the same city as my wife who is also traveling on business.

The three of us had a great dinner together. It was a short break from the craziness that life on the road can be.

We drank, we ate, we laughed and we tried to tune work out for a few hours. It was just a little break but I know I’ll awake refreshed.

Are you making time to shut down, relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor, even if only for a few hours?

    You speak the truth.

There are very few things worth doing if they keep you away from family and friends – or keep you so exhausted and distracted that you’re absent even when you’re around.

Ah, love “absent even when you’re around.” Need to keep that one in mind!
